We are delighted to confirm that the recent Lads vs Dads football match which was played in memory of Samuel Childs was a huge success with lots of money being raised for Essex Air Ambulance. More importantly a very fitting tribute was paid to Sam with both sides saying the game was a lot of fun to play in, thankfully there were no injuries sustained by the Baddow Spartak Colts as their season gets underway. We are not so sure the same can be said for some of the dads though. Our very own Graham Hughes tried rolling back the years with an attempted overhead kick which has certainly left him battered and bruised this week and needing a visit to A&E at Broomfield Hospital!!
Anyway the lads were runaway winners in the end beating their Dads 7-2 with Bond Residential Director, Graham and his son Joseph both putting their names on the scoresheet.
