Get ready for a spook-tacular half-term as Brentwood Connected, the Business Improvement District (BID), brings free Halloween events to the streets of Essex. The towns of Brentwood, Shenfield, and Ingatestone are set to host a series of eerie activities sure to delight both children and adults alike.
The fun commences on Saturday, 26th October, from 3-6pm, with the Festival of Frights in Brentwood. The town will be buzzing with Halloween-themed activities, and local businesses will be handing out tasty treats. A trail will guide visitors from Ongar Road, through the high street and down to Kings Road, where spooky activities will be stationed outside businesses such as Beresfords, Cafe 25a, Rossi, Superdrug, and The Peasants’ Revolt.
Adding to the festive spirit, the Baytree Shopping Centre will host two Halloween mini discos at 3pm and 4pm. Local students from Lorraine’s School of Dancing and Razzamataz Theatre Schools will be showcasing their talents, and the grand finale will feature a fire performance in Crown Street, organised by Sophisticated Entertainment.
Chicken and Frog Bookshop and Ridgewell and Boreham will also host a series of spooky activities in Crown Street from 3-6pm. These include a 'Spooky Room', candy floss, face painting, and Halloween games.
The festivities continue on Thursday, 31st October, from 3-6pm, with the Shenfield Spooktacular. Hutton Road will be transformed into an interactive trail experience, complete with Halloween characters, a performance from Razzamataz, and goodies to collect from trail locations.
Finally, on Friday, 1st November, from 10am to 5pm, Ingatestone High Street will come alive with a Trick or Treat Trail. Families can solve a spooky puzzle and collect Halloween goodies from 12 locations. Free face painting will also be available to add to the fun.
All Brentwood Connected Halloween events encourage costumes and fancy dress. So, come along, join in the fun, and make this half-term a memorable one!
